Montoro announces tax deductions for pensioners

According to Spanish Minister of Finances, the government will include this change in next year's budget. They have not decided yet which requirements will be necessaries to gain access to the deduction or if pensioners will need a minimum age to enjoy it. 

Last week, the Government refused to adjust pensions to the cost of living. As a consequence, thousands of pensioners rallied in front of the Spanish Congress to reclaim higher pensions.

The medium retirement pension in Spain ascends to 1.074 euros. It is a 40% more than in 2007, when the economic crisis began.
