The man, a 57-year-old Polish national, lost his patience after a one-hour delay leaving London’s Stansted and another half an hour stucked in the plane after landing in Málaga.

Not wanting to wait any longer, he decided to force his way out of the emergency exit, climbing through the wing. There he sat for a while until the crew convinced him to come inside again.

The scene was filmed by one of the fellow passengers, Fernando del Valle, who posted the video on Facebook. “This man decided he would wait no more, he activated the emergency exit and said: ‘I leave through the wing’. It was surreal.”

The flight crew alerted the Civil Guard, but when the agents arrived the man had already returned to his seat.

Although he wasn’t arrested, an investigation is ongoing, and he might face a 45,000 euros fee for breaking the aerial security law.
